Description:
This work is actually made with soft pastels on the back of an old printed textile fabric. Because the background of the drawing is the actual backside of the original fabric, the colours of the surroundings are quite pale pastel-like in intensity. After drawing the young man, both the pastel and areas of shade are covered with resin, which makes the original frontside of the textile shine through. The resin also protects the pastel from being smudged.
